Our LDS Church leaders have repeatedly emphasized that elected officials must not only be competent but must also exhibit high moral standards. **Dallin H. Oaks**, First Counselor in the First Presidency, has said:
“We should vote for individuals who will uphold the moral fabric of our communities. Their character and values should reflect the teachings of the gospel.” – Ensign, October 2020.
Donald Trump’s personal life has been marked by controversy, particularly regarding his treatment of women. Over a dozen women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct, and the infamous Access Hollywood tape, in which Trump bragged about groping women without their consent, is widely known. He has been convicted in a court of law of sexual assault. This behavior is incompatible with the Church’s teachings on chastity, respect, and the sanctity of women and families.
Trump does not represent LDS Values.
Consider another candidate or write in a person who reflects your LDS values.
