Trump is Dishonest & Lacks Integrity

The Mormon Church places significant emphasis on honesty as a fundamental principle of the gospel. President Gordon B. Hinckley declared:

“Without honesty, our lives… will degenerate into ugliness and chaos. God has commanded that we be honest in all things.”  – General Conference, April 1990.

In light of this, Donald Trump’s relationship with truth has been concerning for many of us. Throughout his presidency and campaigns, Trump made numerous false statements, many of which were documented and fact-checked. His frequent exaggerations, falsehoods, and misleading claims undermine the integrity that President Hinckley emphasized as essential for a well-ordered society.

For example, Trump’s repeated claim that the 2020 election was “stolen” and rife with widespread fraud has been debunked by multiple courts, independent investigations, and members of his own administration. Despite the lack of evidence, Trump continued to spread these false claims, which ultimately culminated in the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
